Cut and Paste Musicianship

Hello all,
Saw this on YouTube today. I find it particularly interesting in the "Musician" context, as this guy freely admits he can't play at all and has edited the whole thing. I laughed out loud, but find it an interesting comment on the state of recorded music today... when we hear those "great performances" captured in a recording studio and then manipulated in the electronic realm, how much is the performer and how much is the tech? Give me a live recording any day so I can hear the human behind the music.
