Stephen Williams holds a BMus. from the University of Alberta and is a graduate of the Grant MacEwan College Music Program.  A frequent performer with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra trumpet section, he has also performed with Edmonton Opera, Alberta Ballet, and the Alberta Philharmonic. 

Stephen has taught private music lessons for ten years in private studio, conservatory, and post-secondary environments.  He initiated and directed the Edmonton Student Trumpet Workshop, and conducted the Festival City Winds "Novice Band" from 2000 - 2005.  For four years Stephen was the Production Coordinator for the annual "Alberta Music Conference".

Stephen has taken a hiatus from performing, teaching and stage managing.  He can be found working for the Alberta Government as an "Arts Development Consultant" to the Community Development Ministry.  For more information: www.cd.gov.ab.ca/artsbranch In his spare time he still plays the Euphonium with the Festival City Winds "Advanced Band" in Edmonton.

Stephen, his wife Suzanne, son Simon and daughter Sarah share a home in Edmonton with the cat, Purr C. Grainger.
